      I have just made a start on the renovation of a Seeburg SC1 wallbox it has the serial number of 117160 was wondering if there was a way of dating it?

      It has black buttons fitted presently, so I am assuming it’s not a real early one.

      Just like you, I assume that your SC1 is manufactured around 1964.

      Thanks for the information, I may have stumbled across that site in the past but had not used it before.

      Just to complicate things further it would apear that Seeburg got into bother with the taxman by selling equipment with duplicated serial numbers without  the necessary paper work. Thus avoiding paying the revenue that was due!
