Yup, Gaelle and I have already been in contact and he is planning to send me a replacement.  Thanks for your help!

    Hey Scudie,

Well, I went to test my v1.5 again today and now I get the no/exceedingly low (barely audible) output from the minijack irrespective of how any of the dips are set.  Previously toggling dip 3 to off triggered reasonable sound output from the mini jack, but now nothing.  Seems pretty clear that I have a defective unit.

The odd behavior of your speaker outputs, depending on the minijack connection, is pretty odd too — unfortunately I don’t have any non-powered speakers on hand to see if my unit exhibits similar behavior.

Seems like the v1.5 units may have some kinks that need to be worked out — or maybe we both just happen to have units with particular (though maybe different) problems.  Hopefully someone on the sales/manufacturing side can chime in on this?

    Hi Scudie,

That’s very interesting. I have been having intermittent Bluetooth hum issues when no music plays as well, but I haven’t spent enough time testing to isolate the issue.  Will do so and report back any findings.

As far as the volume issue is concerned, can you let me know whether you get audio output from the mini jack when dip 3 is set to “on”?  That was the configuration that was giving me a problem.

By the way, “iem” is in-ear monitor, a fancy term for high end earbuds!

The dips were set as follows:

    1:  off, 2: on, 3: on

With these settings, the volume out of the jack was hardly audible and the volume pot made no changes.

HOWEVER, after reading your post I changed dip 3 to off and voila — I could hear audio out of the mini jack with the volume knob turned fully up!  Not very loud but definitely now audible with IEMs.

I don’t understand why picking one or the other audio amplifier type should make a difference in the unamplified output coming from the mini jack. Is this the expected behavior?  Or is there a defect in my particular unit?
